How to Monitor and Manage Backups with Iperius One

To monitor and manage backups with Iperius One , open the Backup section of the dashboard. From here you can consult general statistics, view all configured operations, filter jobs by group, device, or result, and quickly check for any errors or warnings.

By opening a single job, you can run, stop, edit, duplicate, or delete it. You can also check sources, destinations, duration, amount of data processed, and logs of the latest runs.

What can you control in the Backup section?

The Backup section brings together the tools needed to centrally manage the operations configured on the devices.

From the menu you can access:

  • Statistics: graphs on backup progress
  • Backup operations: centralized list of all jobs
  • Credentials: accounts used in configurations
  • Repositories: pre-configured and reusable destinations

This organization allows you to move from a general view of the infrastructure to a detailed analysis of a single operation.

Still need to create the job?
Check out the guide:

How to create and configure a backup with Iperius One.

How to view all backups

1. Access the dashboard

Open Iperius One and log in with your account.

2. Open Backup Operations

From the side menu, select Backup and then Backup Jobs .

The page shows in a single list the jobs configured on the different devices.

3. Use filters

You can narrow the list using:

  • operation name
  • group
  • device
  • backup type
  • result of the execution

Filters are especially useful when you manage multiple customers, locations, or computers.

How to open a backup from your device

You can also manage a job from the page of the computer on which it is configured.

  1. open Devices
  2. select the computer
  3. open the Backup tab
  4. click on the operation name

A window will open with available information and commands.

How to manually perform a backup

To start a job without waiting for scheduling:

  1. open the affected backup
  2. check that the device is online
  3. click the run button
  4. wait for the operation to start
  5. Refresh the page to check its status

Manual execution is useful after job creation or modification and when you need to protect new data immediately.

How to check the backup result

Once the execution is complete, check the result shown in the job list and overview.

Check in particular:

  • start and end date and time
  • overall duration
  • number of files copied
  • amount of data processed
  • source and destination
  • latest result
  • any error message

A job that finishes with warnings or errors must be analyzed through the logs before the next run.

How to view backup logs

Open the job and select the Last Logs tab or the section dedicated to the latest logs.

The log allows us to understand:

  • which phases have been completed
  • which files or items were processed
  • if a source was unreachable
  • if the destination returned an error
  • if the credentials were invalid
  • if the available space was insufficient
  • if some items were ignored or not copied

How to view backup statistics

Open Backup > Statistics to see a graphical overview of your backup progress.

Statistics can show:

  • device health status
  • job results
  • configured backup types
  • number of files processed
  • amount of data copied
  • trend of operations in the selected period

How to edit a backup

To change the configuration:

  1. open the job
  2. select the edit command
  3. update source, destination or schedule
  4. check the credentials used
  5. check the summary
  6. save changes

After making the change, perform a manual test to ensure that the new configuration works correctly.

How to duplicate a backup

Duplication creates a new job from an existing configuration.

It can be useful for:

  • create a second copy to another destination
  • use a different schedule
  • protect another set of folders
  • create similar jobs on the same device

After duplicating, edit the name and check sources, destinations, and schedule before saving.

How to delete a backup

To remove an operation that is no longer needed:

  1. open the job
  2. select the delete command
  3. check that the correct operation has been selected
  4. confirm removal

Important: Deleting the job removes the configuration from the dashboard. Check separately whether existing data in the destination should be retained or deleted.
